In a nutshell
We are Pauline and Romain, and we are delighted to welcome you to our home, Le Martagon, in the pretty village of Villars-Colmars, in the heart of the Haut-Verdon valley.
We are lucky enough to be surrounded by mountains and close to some of the most beautiful spots in the valley: Colmars-les-Alpes, Lake Allos and the Mercantour.
In winter, the ski resorts of Le Seignus and La Foux d’Allos are just 15 to 20 minutes from the hotel. For your stay, we offer 5 Essential rooms, comfortable and delightfully simple, 5 more spacious Cosy rooms, and 3 little cabins set in our grounds for those who fancy a stay with a difference.
Around the hotel, our large 6,000 m² wooded grounds and our two terraces are the perfect places to enjoy sunny days, have a drink, relax or simply admire the mountains. And because we know that many of you come to discover our beautiful valley on two wheels, we also provide a motorbike garage and a secure bike store.
We truly want you to feel good at Le Martagon, whether you are passing through for one night or staying for a few days.

Every morning, we prepare a delicious breakfast for you, served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. Just what you need to build up your strength and get the day off to a good start before heading out to enjoy our mountains!
What could be better than settling comfortably into a deckchair, listening to the sounds of nature and simply enjoying the peace and quiet of our large grounds? With a bit of luck, you might even meet our little regular: a young stag who loves to pay us a visit and feast on the fruit fallen from our trees!
When evening comes, it’s time to eat! We offer traditional, indulgent cooking, prepared with the desire to delight you and share a good time around the table. Our restaurant is open in the evening only, by reservation.
National Treasure
Just a few kilometres from us begins an area we are lucky enough to have almost on our doorstep: the Mercantour National Park.
Summits, high-altitude lakes, forests, mountain streams and exceptional wildlife… Here, nature takes centre stage. Chamois, ibex, marmots, golden eagles and even wolves inhabit this unspoilt area, which is also home to more than 2,000 plant species.
Among the must-sees, don’t miss Lake Allos, carved out by glaciers and perched at an altitude of over 2,200 metres. It is the largest natural lake in Europe at such an altitude, and certainly one of the landscapes we most love showing to our guests.
And when the sun goes down, the show goes on! Our area is part of the Alpes Azur Mercantour International Dark Sky Reserve, renowned for the exceptional quality of its night sky.
